Description
Level II Reserve deputies have full peace officer powers while on duty. Level II Reserves work in a general law enforcement capacity under direct supervision of a law enforcement officer.

Training Requirements
This 15-week, 242-hour academy is a disciplined, full-stress-oriented program with an emphasis on community relations, investigative report writing, cultural diversity, search and seizure, arrest/control and baton, and firearms. In addition, there are inspections, training in formation, physical exercises (running, push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, etc.), and facing movements with marching.
Students attend the academy in full uniform and are required to purchase their own physical training gear along with other miscellaneous supplies.
