The Palm Desert Station covers the western half of the Coachella Valley’s unincorporated areas.

The Sheriff’s Office contracts with the cities of Indian Wells, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage to provide police services and with the unincorporated cities of:

Police Services Provided by the Riverside Sheriff’s Office

Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians 

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians contracts with the Sheriff’s Office for patrol services. 

City of Indian Wells

The City of Indian Wells contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office to maintain peace and order by providing the highest quality police services.

City of Palm Desert

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has been providing law enforcement services to the City of Palm Desert since the city was founded in 1973.

City of Rancho Mirage

Law enforcement protection is provided to the City of Rancho Mirage by contractual agreement with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
