Details:

On Monday, November 5, 2018, Lake Elsinore Station deputies responded to the 100 block of S. Lowell Street in the city of Lake Elsinore in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon and possible home invasion. Upon arrival, deputies learned two armed suspects attempted to enter a residence. When the resident confronted the suspects, he was physically assaulted, after which the suspects fled the scene.

The Lake Elsinore Station Investigations Bureau was contacted and continued with the investigation. Investigators were able to identify the suspects as Sean Cendro, a 36-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore, and Brian Schweitzer, a 40-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore. The case was submitted to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office who issued arrest warrants for both Cendro and Schweitzer.

The Inland Regional Apprehension Team (IRAT) located Schweitzer in the city of Temecula on October 11, 2019, where he was arrested without incident. Cendro was later located at a residence in the 33000 block of Churchill Street in Lakeland Village. A search warrant was authored and served by the Riverside County Sheriff Department SWAT unit on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Cendro surrendered without incident.

Both Schweitzer and Cendro have been booked at the Cois Bryd Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon and several other felony charges.

The investigation is on-going and anyone with further information on this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Esteban Carranza from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station by calling (951) 245-3300.
