Details: 

On Monday, April 6, 2020, at 3:56 PM, deputies responded to a residence in the 31000 block of Sherman Road in Menifee for a reported domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult who refused to exit the house and told deputies he had shot his family. Deputies negotiated with the male to surrender; however, he refused.

While negotiating with the male, deputies heard what was believed to be a single gunshot from within the residence. Deputies entered the house finding a deceased adult male with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Three victims were also located inside the home, suffering gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were pronounced deceased on scene, and a third victim was transported to a local hospital; however, died once they arrived.

Investigators from the Perris Station and Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and there are no additional details available for release. The names of the decedents are being withheld pending identification and notification of family.
