On April 20, 2020, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and Riverside County Code Enforcement served eight marijuana cultivation related search warrants in the unincorporated county area known as Anza. During the service, approximately 4,194 plants were eradicated and 383 pounds of processed marijuana was collected, for a total combined weight of approximately three tons. Two firearms, (one rifle and one handgun), were collected for evidence. A dismantled Honey Oil Laboratory was located and collected. Two containers of toxic pesticides that have been banned in the United States for endangering domestic animals and wildlife and are known hazards to the water table were located at one of the locations.

The following suspects were arrested for Marijuana Cultivation, (charges will be filed with the District Attorney’s Office):

• 56-year-old Anza resident Christopher Easterling
• 55-year-old Anza resident Rhonda Easterling
• 30-year-old Union City resident Jesus Ojeda
• 67-year-old Anza resident Pedro Campo-Hernandez
