On April 29, 2020, deputies from the Hemet and San Jacinto Sheriff’s Stations, along with the Soboba Reservation coordinated a Rapid Short Duration Saturation Patrol in the areas of Hemet, San Jacinto and the communities surrounding the Soboba Reservation. The operation is designed to randomly saturate zones, several times a day within the above listed communities, for a short duration in an effort to suppress crime. Deputies arrested a total of thirty-one subjects for various crimes, including two felony warrants, fifty misdemeanor warrants, five citations for traffic violations, seven on view narcotic violations, one felony evading, and towed two vehicles. Three subjects were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center and all others were issued a citation to appear. The operation will be ongoing in an effort to suppress criminal activity with a focus on public safety.
