Details: 

On Friday, May 15th, 2020, Deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to an air emergency call at the Blythe Airport, near the City of Blythe. When they arrived, they found that the pilot of a single engine aircraft had lost control during takeoff due to a gust of wind causing him to lose air speed. The aircraft hit into a field near the runway rendering it inoperable.

The pilot sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
