On Friday, May 15, 2020, deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the 40000 block of Apple Road, Anza, regarding a sexual offender who was out of compliance with his registration requirements since March 2020.

Deputies contacted 52-year-old Anza resident Thomas Shuffield, who also failed to comply with the terms of his parole and had a felony parole revocation warrant issued for his arrest. While at the home, deputies contacted 55-year-old Anza resident Maureen Donnelly, who had a narcotics-related warrant issued for her arrest.

Shuffield and Donnelly were arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department conducts sexual offender compliance checks and quality of life enforcement regularly. The use of illegal drugs affects not only the individual but also the community as illicit drug use is the root cause of many of the crimes that affect our county.
