On May 25, 2020 at 11:08 AM, Coachella Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of disturbing the peace at a business within the 51800 block of Cesar Chavez Street, in Coachella. Garrett Torro, 35 of Banning, immediately became confrontational with responding deputies and soon thereafter became combative. Physical force was required to detain Torro resulting in minor injuries to both Torro and deputies. Following medical treatment at a local hospital, Torro was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
