Outreach Services: HOT deputies escorted the Riverside County Executive Office for Homeless Solutions (representative), through outreach services throughout Riverside County. HOT deputies offered outreach services to a total of 11 homeless individuals throughout the cities of Rancho Mirage and Coachella, and the unincorporated communities of Bermuda Dunes and Thousand Palms. 1 homeless individual (Terry Taylor) accepted services. HOT was able  to get Terry a cellphone to enable regular communications between Terri and HOT while getting her enrolled in mental health services and housing.

Housing the Homeless: Deputy Espinoza-Martinez contacted a homeless individual, Rodolfo (Rudy) Espinoza 11/15/76, living out of his car in the city of Rancho Mirage. Rudy wanted housing, medical, employment, and mental health services. Deputy Espinoza-Martinez got Rudy enrolled in CVRM’s 6-month housing program and mental health services. Additionally, Deputy Espinoza-Martinez enrolled Rudy into IEHP to receive medical care for his diabetes and high blood pressure. Lastly, HOT deputies confirmed Rudy’s homeless verification letter and continue to follow up with him throughout his housing and reintegration process. Rudy is currently housed in the 6-month housing program at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and enduring both mental health and medical services. Once Rudy has completed the 6-month housing program, he will be enrolled into the integration housing program (long-term housing).

Outreach Services: HOT Deputies responded to an encampment complaint in the city of Eastvale. The two encampments were located on the shoulder of the I-15, just south of the Limonite bridge. The two encampments were occupied by Daniel Lucero and Linda Reyes, both refused all homeless services. Riverside Sheriff’s HOT, Eastvale POP, Eastvale city staff, Cal-Fire Fire Marshall, Eastvale City Code Enforcement, and Eastvale Safety Commission responded to assess the encampment in preparation for an encampment cleanup operation.
