Details:

On Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 10:42 P.M., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Ramona Boulevard and N. Wateka Street, in the City of San Jacinto, in reference to a call of shots fired.  The reporting party advised a white female adult was being shot at, and a Honda Civic was speeding out of the area. Responding deputies arrived and were unable to locate anyone in the area. Deputies located three 9mm shell casings in the 100 block of N. Wateka Street.

As deputies continued to canvass the surrounding area, they located a silver Honda Civic driving northbound on Ramona Boulevard. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle did not immediately yield. The driver, a 30-year-old, Hemet resident, later identified as Lee Williams was determined to be under the influence of Drugs and Alcohol. The front passenger, 29-year-old San Jacinto resident, Rodney Jeter was on active Post Release Community Supervision for a weapons violation. Inside the vehicle deputies located one 9mm bullet in the center console, underneath the driver’s seat deputies located a 9mm handgun with a loaded magazine.

Both subjects were arrested and booked at Larry Smith Correctional facility without further incident. A Redi-Net was established for possible victims.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact Deputy Crabbe at the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station.  The San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station can be reached at (951) 654-2702.  Criminal activity can also be reported through the We-Tip Crime Reporting Hotline, (909) 987-5005 or wetip.com.
