During the month of August 2020, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station County Problem Oriented Policing Team investigated information regarding a possible illegal indoor marijuana cultivation occurring within the city of Lake Elsinore.
On August 6, 2020, at the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, deputies served a search warrant in the 40000 block of Pascali Street. The location was converted into an illegal indoor marijuana cultivation site. Approximately 1000 marijuana plants were located in various stages of growth, during the service of the search warrant. Lake Elsinore City Code enforcement responded to the location and assumed their investigation. City Code enforcement issued a cease and desist letter to the residence due to unauthorized construction to the residence along with the illegal cultivation.
No one was found at the location during the service of the search warrant. Based on the total weight of the marijuana plants located on the property, the approximate street value is about one million dollars.
