On Friday, September 4, 2020, at 1:19 P.M. deputies from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a traffic enforcement stop on W. Bowen Road and N. Perris Boulevard, in the city of Perris. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a loaded .357 caliber pistol, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Deputies arrested documented criminal street gang member and convicted felon, Isaac Alvarez, 28 of Lake Elsinore for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Narcotics with a Loaded Firearm, and Parole Violation. Alvarez was subsequently booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
