Details:

On September 15, 2020, deputies from the Perris Station Problem Oriented Policing Team learned of an illegal indoor residential marijuana grow operating on the 3000 block of Kalei Court, in the city of Perris. The investigation led deputies to obtain a search warrant for the property. The search warrant was served on September 24, 2020. During the service of the warrant, 41-year-old Chau Nguyen of Monterey Park, 40-year-old Khoi Dinh of Chino Hills, and 40-year-old Vuong Vo of Fontana were detained inside the residence. A search of the property yielded 795 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, 57 pounds of processed marijuana, and over $12,000.00 in U.S. currency. All marijuana plants were subsequently eradicated from the property, and all U.S. currency was collected for asset forfeiture.  All three suspects were later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for illegal marijuana cultivation.

The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep all of our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community.  Indoor marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the neighborhoods, property value and environment. It diminishes and poisons the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has a zero-tolerance policy for these offenses. If you suspect drug activity in your area, please contact your local Sheriff’s Station.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact Deputy Maldonado at the Perris Station by calling 951-210-1077.
