On November 6, 2020 at 1230 hours, members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force coordinated a search warrant service at a large property near El Toro Road / Lindell Road in Lake Elsinore. Teams assisting with the search warrant included the Beaumont / Banning Regional Gang Task Force (Region 2), the Murrieta Special Enforcement Team, Central Team, the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID), Murrieta Police Department School Resource Officers, a Murrieta Police Canine, and the Riverside Sheriff’s Department Aviation Unit (Star-9).

Two subjects were detained on the property including a San Diego County probationer identified as Matthew Santori, a 42 year-old Lake Elsinore resident. A search of the property revealed two stolen vehicles and a stolen U-Haul trailer. Other items located on the property included a loaded firearm, a multitude of ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. Officers also believed the property was being used as a vehicle chop shop location. Santori was booked into jail on a several felony charges. The other adult detained on the property was booked into jail for having four outstanding warrants related to theft.
