Details:

On Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 8:21 PM, deputies responded to the 25200 block of Jutland Drive in Hemet to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived within minutes and located an unconscious male adult, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Deputies rendered medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The male, however, died at the scene.

Investigators from the Hemet Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Kijaun Johnson of Hemet. The investigation determined the suspect as 66-year-old Bernard Bracely of Hemet. Bernard Bracely was arrested and booked into custody for homicide.
