Details:
On November 9, 2020, deputies assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station began a suspicious death investigation at a residence in the 13700 block of Laurene Ln., in an unincorporated area of Moreno Valley. On November 10, 2020, the Central Homicide Unit was requested and continued with the investigation. After the autopsy was completed, the case was determined to be a homicide. The decedent was identified as Christian Cazarez, 37 years of Moreno Valley.
During the course of the investigation, a suspect named Dominique Kyles, 28 years of Moreno Valley, was identified. On November 19, 2020, a search warrant was served by the Special Enforcement Bureau and Major Crimes Unit at a residence in the 14900 block of Curry St., Moreno Valley. Kyles was taken into custody without incident. A second search warrant was served by the Moreno Valley Problem Oriented Policing Unit and Special Enforcement Team at a residence in the 25800 block of Iris St., Moreno Valley. Kyles was arrested and booked for murder on November 20, 2020.
