On Friday, June 14, 2019, at 2:48 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a probation compliance search near the 66000 block of Granada Avenue in Desert Hot Springs. Documented criminal street gang member and convicted felon, Jose Dorado, 27 of Desert Hot Springs was arrested after Gang Task Force Officers located a loaded firearm concealed on his person. Dorado was charged with being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm and violation of probation. Dorado was booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
