Update:

Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit has been working toward developing leads on the murder of 42-year-old Brian Messina that occurred on November 30, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Hemet.

26-year-old Nico Zahir from Anza, 35-year-old Joe Serna from Anza, and 37-year-old George Holley from Oklahoma have been identified as being involved in the homicide. All three are currently in custody and have been charged by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office with homicide for their involvement.

Details:

On Monday, November 30, 2020, at 4:34 PM, deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a call of an unconscious male adult in the 34000 block of Bautista Road in the unincorporated area of Hemet. Upon arrival, they found a deceased male adult with obvious trauma. Deputies secured the area and began an investigation.

Investigators from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The deceased's identity is not being released at this time, pending notification to next of kin.
