On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife served eight marijuana cultivation related search warrants at eight separate residences/ properties located in the following unincorporated area of Anza:

• 38300 block of Alessandro Road, Anza
• Parcel of land near Old Camanche Trail and Bautista Canyon Road, Anza
• 52800 block of Browns Rocky Road, Anza
• Parcel of land near Browns Rocky Road and Woodview Road, Anza
• 51900 block of Browns Rocky Road, Anza
• 39000 block of Indian Road, Anza
• Parcel of land near Indian Road and Springs Trail, Anza
• Parcel of land near Indian Road and Springs Trail, Anza

During the service of the search warrants, approximately 19,916 marijuana plants were eradicated and 1,015 pounds of processed marijuana was collected, for a total combined weight of over two tons. Three firearms (two non-California compliant rifles, one handgun) were also collected for evidence.

No subjects were located at the properties during the service of the search warrants. A follow up investigation is being conducted to identify the subjects responsible for the illegal marijuana cultivation operations.F

The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep all of our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community. Marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the environment in many ways including diminishing and poisoning the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents.
