Details:

On April 28, 2021, at 8:15 PM, deputies responded to the area of Perris Blvd. and Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, regarding a major injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the collision involved a vehicle versus an adult male pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with significant injuries. The vehicle driver was questioned at the scene and it did not appear alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision, but the investigation is on-going.

The Moreno Valley Traffic Reconstruction Team assumed the investigation. Preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was crossing Perris Blvd. and crossed into the path of a vehicle. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours for the scene investigation.
