Details:

On May 8, 2021, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the Corona Regional Hospital to investigate a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim, later identified as Pedro Cervantes, a 28-year-old male from El Cerrito, had been brought to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and Jurupa Valley Station were notified and have assumed the investigation. The suspect(s) are still outstanding at this time.
