Update:

Investigators were able to identify the suspect in this case as Gael Cazares, 19 years old out of Jurupa. He was located and arrested in the 5900 Block of Troth St in Jurupa and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for the murder of Manuel Villaman and the attempted murder of the second victim.

Details:

On Saturday, May 29, 2021, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 4900 Block of Rutile St. in Jurupa Valley reference an assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon arrival, deputies located two males suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the males died on scene and the second was transported by emergency medical personnel to a hospital where he received medical care.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The deceased male was identified as Manuel Villaman, 22 years old out of Jurupa Valley.
