Perris, Calif.-The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Perris Station, conducted a Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Operation on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Deputies enforced violations made by motorists and pedestrians that increase the risk of collisions. The operation was held at various times and locations within the city of Perris. The operation yielded the following:
- 15 vehicles were stopped, and 3 pedestrian checks were conducted
- 17 citations were issued to motorists and pedestrians
- 1 arrest warrant served
- 1 vehicle was towed
Funding for the Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Operation was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
