Pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle.

On Monday June 21, 2021, about 11:04 AM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station responded to a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Rider Street and Redlands Ave in the city of Perris.  Deputies arrived within minutes and located a collision involving a blue 2003 Honda CRV and an unknown female pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and life saving measures were performed; however, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time. The driver of the Honda CRV sustained no injuries and was questioned at the scene. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision, the investigation is on-going.

The Perris Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation.
