On Saturday, June 26, 2021, the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 Perris/Lake Elsinore conducted a targeted enforcement patrol operation in the city of Perris. Assisting in the operation was the Perris Special Enforcement – Problem Oriented Policing Team. The operation focused on areas in which there has been recent gang activity and areas where known gang members reside.

During the operation, deputies conducted multiple probation searches, traffic enforcement stops, and contacted several pedestrians. Several people were arrested for various felony and misdemeanor charges to include evading / reckless driving, narcotics violations, probation violations, and outstanding warrants.

The following were arrested and cited for outstanding misdemeanor warrants:

Arthur Chagolla, thirty-one-year old Riverside resident. Roger Guerra, forty-five-year-old Perris resident. Joyce Chong, thirty-nine-year-old Romoland resident. Daniel Morales, twenty-one-year-old Perris resident. Javier Jauregui, thirty-two-year-old Perris resident. Veronica Zavala, thirty-one-year-old, Good Hope resident.

The following were arrested and cited for misdemeanor narcotics violations:

Brenda Mendez-Gonzalez, twenty-seven-year-old Perris resident. Freddrick Haas, sixty-two-year-old Long Beach resident.

Travis Brits, thirty-one-year-old Moreno Valley resident and Anthony Vergara, twenty-year-old Anaheim resident, were arrested and booked for felony Evading, and Narcotics Possession for Sales and Transportation. Rafael Gutierrez, forty-year-old Anaheim resident, was arrested and booked for a felony warrant.
