Vehicle's Global Positioning System (GPS) key component to "Chop Shop" takedown.

On Monday, July 5, 2021, at 12:25 AM, Deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to an area check for a reported stolen vehicle in the 5000 block of Trail Canyon Drive in the City of Jurupa Valley, County of Riverside. The victim advised the stolen vehicle GPS placed the vehicle in the general area. Once on scene the stolen vehicle, as well as several additional suspected stolen vehicles, were located and a search warrant was served.

During the service of the search warrant, three stolen vehicles, one stolen car trailer, firearms, ammunition, over 400 pounds of processed cannabis, approximately one pound of suspected controlled substance, narcotic sales indicia, as well as additional vehicle license plates were located. Javier Beltran, 44 of La Puente, Fredy Oropeza, 24 of Bell Gardens, Alejandra Deanda Jimenez, 27 of Huntington Park, Starlette Castaneda, 40 of Alhambra, were arrested for operating a suspected “Chop Shop”, possession of an unregistered firearm, marijuana cultivation, Narcotics for sales. All four subjects were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in the City of Riverside.
