On Thursday, July 8, 2021, personnel from the following state and local law enforcement agencies served fifty-one marijuana cultivation related search warrants:

  • Riverside County Sheriff’s Department
  • Cannabis Regulation Task Force
  • California National Guard, Bureau of Land Management & California Department of Justice (Campaign Against Marijuana Planting- C.A.M.P)

  • Murrieta Police Department
  • Riverside Police Department
  • California Department of Food and Agriculture
  • California State Water Board
  • Riverside County Hazmat Unit

These marijuana cultivation related search warrants were served at the following fifty-one separate residences/ properties located in the unincorporated area of Anza:

During the service of the search warrants, approximately 100,343 marijuana plants were eradicated and an additional 9,806 pounds of processed marijuana was seized, for a total combined weight of approximately fifty tons. Thirteen firearms (eight handguns, four rifles and one shotgun) were also collected for evidence. Approximately $49,546 in cash was also seized.

The following suspects were arrested for various criminal offenses (charges will be filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office):

  • 44-year-old Minnesota resident Nhia Vang
  • 45 year-old Highland resident Joanna Flores
  • 44 year-old San Jacinto resident Efren Rubiano
  • 43 year-old Perris resident Juan Carlos Mora
  • 66 year-old Anza resident Thong Oudinarath

Marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the environment in many ways including diminishing and poisoning the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents.
