Theft Investigation leads to documented gang member arrest.
On July 17, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at two residences located in the 84-100 block of Calendula, Coachella and the 84-400 block of Avenue 52, Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a theft investigation CCAT was conducting. During the search warrant service, stolen property and a stolen vehicle were recovered. Documented gang member Eddy Flores, 23 of Coachella, was arrested for theft, burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, two felony warrants for being a parolee at large and possession of a stolen vehicle and two misdemeanor warrants for theft and narcotic possession. Flores was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
