Details:

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, July 31st, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station were called to the 5000 block of Rubidoux Blvd. regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies located a subject, later identified as Victor Sanchez-Chavez, a 26 year old male from Jurupa Valley, lying in the street with multiple gun shot wounds. He was transported to Riverside Community Hospital. Despite life saving efforts by hospital staff, Victor was pronounced deceased.

Investigators from the Jurupa Valley Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
