Details

On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 7:30 PM, Gang Task Force Officers from Region 2 assisted the Beaumont Police Department with conducting surveillance on a stolen vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of a business in the 1500 block of 2nd Street, in the City of Beaumont. Moments later, a male suspect who was later identified as Corey Parisi, a 35-year-old from the City San Jacinto, quickly got into the vehicle and sped off at a high rate of speed. A vehicle pursuit ensued, and Gang Task Force Officers took over the vehicle pursuit. With the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Aviation Unit, Emergency Service Team Members, K-9 Unit, and the California Highway Patrol, the pursuit went from the City of Beaumont and into the City of Riverside.

Parisi drove at speeds in excess of 90 MPH on the freeway and speeds of 60-70 MPH in residential areas in the City of Riverside with complete disregard of the safety of the public. Parisi ultimately pulled into a business complex in the 1800 block of University Avenue where he surrendered without incident. It was also confirmed that Parisi was wanted on three outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.

Parisi was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the following charges:

  • Felony Evading
  • Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
  • Three Outstanding Felony Warrants
