Details:
Temecula, CA – Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Southwest Station responded to Rancho Elementary School, regarding a subject with a large pipe attempting to break into the school by smashing windows. The school was placed on lock down for staff and children safety. When deputies arrived, they located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
It was determined the suspect, Raymond Amick, 31 years of Temecula, broke several windows to the school and damaged a car in the parking lot. Medical aid was summoned to treat Amick for self-inflicted injuries he sustained from breaking the glass to the school and vehicle.
Neither deputies nor school personnel/citizens were injured during the incident. Amick was arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for felony vandalism, burglary, loitering, disturbing the peace and committing crimes with prior felony convictions.
