Details:

On September 9, 2021, at 9:20 am, School Resource Officers from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station assisted staff at Canyon Springs High School investigate reports of a student on campus armed with a firearm. During the investigation, School Resource Officers located a 14-year-old female student in possession of a loaded firearm on campus. School Resource Officers worked in conjunction with school administration and security to ensure the campus was safe for its student body and staff. The 14-year-old student was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for possessing a loaded firearm.
