Details:
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 11:05 A.M., Task Force Officers from Region 6 Perris / Lake Elsinore, Region 2 Banning / Beaumont, Region 7 Corona / Jurupa, with the assistance of the Marijuana Enforcement Team, and the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail served a search warrant in the 24000 block of Camino Del Serenah, in the city of Perris. The search warrant stemmed from a marijuana cultivation investigation.
During the service of the search warrant, Task Force Officers encountered Gavin Whitlock, a 29-year-old resident of Perris, Jay Kuchenbecker, a 57-year-old resident of Perris, and Carly Hancock, a 41-year-old resident of Perris. Task Force Officers located a .22 caliber rifle, a short-barreled shotgun, (4) handguns, (2) fully automatic .223 caliber rifles, (12) high-capacity rifle magazines, (18) high-capacity handgun magazines, various weapon components, numerous calibers of ammunition, a half-pound of methamphetamine, 19 grams of psilocybin, 114 milliliters of Gamma-hydroxybutyrate, 250 pounds of processed marijuana, items indicative of narcotics sales, (2) stolen pick-up trucks, (2) stolen recreational vehicles, a stolen all-terrain vehicle, a stolen boat, (3) stolen trailers, and a stolen camper trailer.
Whitlock was taken into custody and charged with being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, two counts of Possession of a Machinegun, and Possession of a Short-barreled Shotgun. Kuchenbecker was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Controlled Substance while Armed, and ten counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Hancock was taken into custody for her outstanding arrest warrants. Whitlock, Kuchenbecker, and Hancock were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
