Details:
On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Moreno Valley Station Traffic Team, with the assistance of deputies from other Riverside County Sheriff Stations, conducted a Quality of Life Operation, with a focus on traffic safety. The operation was conducted in response to the rising number of fatal and major-injury traffic collisions in the city of Moreno Valley, which has seen in excess of 4300 reported traffic collisions in the previous three years. The mission of the operation was to reduce and prevent further collisions through targeted traffic enforcement in areas of the city that have experienced the highest number of collisions. The operation yielded the following results:
- 311 Traffic Enforcement Stops Performed
- 304 Traffic Citations Issued for Various Violations of the Vehicle Code
- 20 Warnings Issued
- 35 Vehicles Towed and Stored/Impounded
- 13 Parking Violation Citations Issued
- 1 Arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
- 4 Felony Arrests
- 4 Misdemeanor Arrests
- 3 Felony Arrest Warrants Served
- 14 Misdemeanor Arrest Warrants Served
- 1 Stolen Vehicle Recovered
