Details:

Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to reports of several commercial burglaries along the business district corridor in the city of Palm Desert. The suspects in these burglaries entered local businesses, removed expensive merchandise, and exited the locations failing to pay for the items. All the suspects entered a white Toyota 4-Runner and fled the location. Suspect and vehicle descriptions were broadcast to deputies and the suspect vehicle was located on Bob Hope Drive at Gerald Ford Drive. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop and the vehicle failed to yield. A vehicle pursuit was initiated which continued eastbound on I-10. During the pursuit, the suspects discarded several of the stolen items onto the highway. The vehicle was successfully stopped on I-10, just west of Wiley’s Well Road, where four suspects were taken into custody. The suspects were identified as Zackery Martinez, 25 of San Jose, Nouman Saleh, 36 of San Jose, Dylan Oberdick, 39 of San Jose, and Hannah Harbison, 33 of Indio. All four suspects were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio, on numerous counts of commercial burglary. Over five thousand dollars of stolen merchandise was recovered. There are no outstanding suspects and no threat to the public. Booking photos are not available at this time.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department would like to remind the public that these groups are well organized, and this type of criminal enterprise is on the rise. Personnel from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station continue to work closely with the city and business districts to combat criminal activity. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with additional information to contact Deputy Lina Gama at (760) 836-1600, or call anonymously at (760) 341-STOP (7867) and reference incident # T212940101.
