Lethal Dose of fentanyl

On November 10, 2021 at approximately 11:00 a.m., members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force conducted a parole search at an address in Murrieta related to an ongoing gang related investigation. Also assisting with the parole search were members of the Murrieta Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) and Community Policing Team (CPT), along with officers from the Central Parole and Compliance Team (PACT). As a result of the parole search, officers located just under 2 pounds of Fentanyl with a street value of approximately $25,000.00. In comparison, two milligrams of powdered Fentanyl can be considered a lethal dose for some people. Charges are pending related to this investigation.
