Perris, Calif. – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department - Perris Station, along with our law enforcement partners from the California Highway Patrol, La Habra Police Dept., Irvine Police Dept., San Bernardino Police Dept., Rialto Police Dept., Chino Police Dept., Costa Mesa Police Dept., Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Jurupa Valley, Moreno Valley, and Temecula Stations, will hold a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Check Point on Tuesday December 7, 2021 from 7:00 am to 11:30 am on Harley Knox Blvd. and Indian Ave. within the city of Perris.

This joint operation helps to prevent collisions and incidents attributed to mechanical defects or excessive driving hours involving vehicles and drivers subject to California Vehicle Code section 34500. This type of operation helps to ensure commercial vehicle operators operating a commercial vehicle with a gross weight of 10,001 pounds or more, are in compliance with the provisions of the California Vehicle Code (CVC), Title 13 California Code of Regulations (13 CCR), Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR), as well as other statutes and regulations relating to the safe and lawful operation of commercial vehicles on the roadways located within the City of Perris.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station Traffic Bureau is continuing its public awareness and enforcement with the intent to reduce the number of injury and fatal traffic collisions involving commercial vehicles operating within the City of Perris in an unsafe condition.
