Details:

On Monday, November 1, 2021, Perris Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of a business located in the 4000 block of N. Perris Blvd, in the city of Perris. Deputies arrived on-scene and located two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment, and later survived their injuries. Witnesses at the scene described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 20’s medium build and was last seen fleeing the scene in a white Cadillac EXT immediately after the shooting. Perris Station Investigators were assigned the investigation.

During their investigation, they identified the suspect as Luis Martinez, 26-year-old from Homeland, and located the vehicle’s license plate number and Martinez’s address in Homeland. On December 10, 2021, about 12:15 P.M., the Moreno Valley Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) assisted Perris Station Investigators in locating the suspect vehicle in Moreno Valley and were able to detain the driver, Delgadillo Valtierra, a 35-year-old from Homeland. About 1:20 P.M., The Special Enforcement Bureau served a search warrant at 29341 Grechen Lane, in Homeland, where they located and detained Martinez without incident. The residence was processed for evidence and items of evidentiary value were located and collected. Luis Martinez was later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center (CBDC) for Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Delgadillo Valtierra was arrested and booked for an outstanding Riverside County Felony warrant. This investigation is on-going.
