On Friday, November 5, 2021, at approximately 4:46 P.M, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to the report of a robbery in the 3000 block of Lake Crest Drive in the City of Lake Elsinore. During the investigation, deputies learned the victim was attempting to sell jewelry via OfferUp (buying and selling application) and had met with an unknown suspect in front of his residence. During the transaction, the unknown suspect produced a firearm, pointed it at the victim, and demanded the jewelry. The suspect fled in a white sedan with the victim’s jewelry.

On December 16, 2021, at approximately 11:00 A.M, with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Southwest Station Special Enforcement Team (SET), Gang Task Force Officers located Gutierrez in the area of Goetz and Ellis.
