Update:

Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit have continued to investigate a homicide that occurred on December 23, 2020, in the city of Moreno Valley. The ongoing investigation revealed a suspect involved in the murder of 30-year-old Victor Guzman.

An involved suspect has been identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile, resident of Moreno Valley. The juvenile suspect has been arrested and booked into custody at Riverside County Juvenile Hall for murder. Charges have been filed by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

The decedent was identified as Victor Adrianoamat Guzman, 30 years old out of Moreno Valley.

Details:

On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 12:57 a.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to a man down call near the 22000 Block of Alessandro Blvd in the city of Moreno Valley.

The reporting party called to report an adult male, who arrived at the location in a vehicle, was bleeding and had collapsed on the ground. A deputy arrived on scene and found the male unresponsive. The deputy began Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and requested that Cal-Fire personnel respond to the scene. Cal-Fire arrived and assumed CPR. Despite life-saving measures, the male was pronounced deceased on scene. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
