Details:
On Thursday, August 29, 2019, a deputy from the Perris Station responded to a report of wheels and tires stolen off a vehicle in the 200 block of South D Street. On September 11, 2019, deputies from the Perris Station Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation. During the investigation, deputies obtained video surveillance which captured the theft along with images of the suspect and vehicle used during the crime. On September 18, 2019, the Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team located the vehicle used in the crime and the suspect in the area of Perris Boulevard and Alessandro Boulevard in the City of Moreno Valley. Jose Angel Araujo Jr., 26-years-old and a resident of Perris, was arrested for removing vehicle parts, violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance, and a felony arrest warrant for a weapons violation out of San Bernardino County.
