Reporting Deputy: Sergeant Kenneth Hoon
File # I220720059
Details:
On March 9, 2022, about 5:50 PM, deputies assigned to the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, responded to the 400 block of Idyllwild Drive, regarding a home invasion robbery. Two unknown male suspects entered a residence, confronted a female victim, and took items from inside. The suspects stole numerous items, including keys to the victim’s vehicle, a Nissan SUV. The incident was captured on surveillance video, which provided clear footage of both suspects.
At 6:52 PM, deputies responded to the 200 block of Quiet Court, regarding a residential burglary. Numerous items were taken from the residence, including the victim’s Ford truck. Surveillance video was also obtained in this incident, which appeared to link the same suspects from the earlier home invasion robbery.
On March 13, 2022, at 6:58 PM deputies responded back to the 400 block of Idyllwild Drive, regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The victim of the home invasion robbery reported her vehicle was just stolen from the residence. At 8:20 PM, deputies located the victim’s Nissan traveling westbound on Ramona Boulevard. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the driver failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit lasted approximately two minutes, before the driver stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of Winners Circle in San Jacinto. The driver did not put the vehicle in park, causing the vehicle to collide into a Sheriff’s patrol unit. Five juvenile suspects were detained without further incident. No one was injured as a result of the pursuit or traffic collision. Methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle.
The two suspects involved in the home invasion robbery were positively identified by the victim. Both suspects were booked at Riverside County Juvenile Hall. The other juveniles were released to their parents.
