On Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, at 7:00 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 30000 block of Monte Vista Way in Thousand Palms. During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located four 9mm semi-auto handguns, ammunition, and a single high-capacity pistol magazine. The items were located inside a hidden compartment within the headboard of the suspect’s bed. Gang Task Force Officers arrested convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member, Francisco Javier Castro Madera, 26 of Thousand Palms for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of High-Capacity Magazine, Violation of Probation and Child Endangerment. Madera was transported to John Benoit Detention Center in Indio where he was booked.
