On Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2:41 a.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a commercial burglary alarm at the Lake Elsinore Senior Center, located in the 400 block of E. Lakeshore Drive in the city of Lake Elsinore. Upon arrival, deputies located a broken second story window. The investigation revealed the suspect, identified as Andrew Jimenez, a 46-year-old transient from Lake Elsinore, broke the window to the business, entered the building, vandalized the interior, and fled prior to deputies’ arrival.
Andrew Jimenez was located walking on E. Lakeshore Drive near Main Street. He was arrested on charges of burglary and vandalism. Anyone with further information on this case is encouraged to contact Deputy Christian Hibbler at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station by calling (951) 245-3300.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department suggests using alarms and/or motion sensitive lights, and lock all gates, doors and windows to help deter break ins. In addition, contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (951) 776-1099 immediately if suspicious activity is observed.
