Details:

On Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 7:54 PM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 4000 block of Avon Street in Jurupa Valley. Upon arrival, they found a male with traumatic injuries. The victim was a 17-year-old male, who paramedics transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. Deputies secured the area and began an investigation.

Investigators from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Investigative leads are currently being worked and there is no threat to the public. This appears to be an isolated incident between the suspect(s) and the victim.
