On Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 9:00 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence located in the 1000 block of North State Street in Hemet. The search warrant was the culmination of a follow-up investigation into an attempted homicide that occurred in the City of Coachella on August 15th 2022. During the attempted homicide, an adult male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and chest.

During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located approximately 1 pound of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Gang Task Force Officers arrested documented criminal street gang member Arturo Espinoza Jr. a 19-year-old resident of  of Coachella, for Attempted Homicide and Transportation of Methamphetamine for Sales. Additionally, documented criminal street gang member, Pablo Vargas, a 26-year-old resident of Coachella and Desiree Rodriguez, a 27 year-old resident of Coachella were both arrested for Transportation of Methamphetamine for Sales and Child Endangerment.
