Riverside County Sheriff's Department Press Release

Reporting Deputy: Sergeant Art Mendez

File # EV222930026

Details:

On November 6, 2022, deputies assigned to the Eastvale Special Enforcement Team and the Jurupa Valley Station responded to an in-progress burglary at a business located in the 5200 block of Goodman Lane in Eastvale.  A passerby driving in the area called the sheriff’s department to report several suspects were utilizing the Interstate 15 Freeway to gain access to the business and were filling a vehicle with packages. Deputies immediately responded and located a vehicle fleeing from the business. A vehicle enforcement stop was conducted and the vehicle came to a stop on the side of the freeway.  The occupants of the vehicle, Stanley Dacosta, a 49-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, Jeremy Weitzeil, a 42-year-old resident of Riverside, and Antonio Hernandez, a 34-year-old resident of Riverside, were arrested. Deputies searched the vehicle and located approximately $34,000 in stolen packages, along with burglary tools. The investigation revealed the suspects were not employees of the business where the burglary occurred. Deputies also learned Dacosta and Hernandez had felony warrants and Weitzeil was on Post Release Community Supervision. All three suspects were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary, conspiracy, and several additional felonies.

Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call Deputy Cervantes of the Jurupa Valley Station by calling 951-955-2600.
