On November 8, 2019, at 12:27AM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of Chatham Lane x McCall Blvd, Menifee to investigate a hit and run collision.
The reporting person followed a Nissan Maxima that just collided with a parked car at the location and left the scene of the collision. The Nissan eventually stopped near Camino Bella x Camino Claraboya. Upon the arrival of deputies, they discovered 41-year-old Marleena Edmonds of Moreno Valley displaying symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Edmonds was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation, and eventually booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center for driving under the influence and hit and run.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision and has not been interviewed is encouraged to call Deputy Ballard at the Perris Sheriff’s Station, (951) 210-1000.
