On April 25, 2023 at 2:18 AM, Deputies responded to Soboba Road X Lake Park Drive, San Jacinto, reference a single vehicle, rollover, collision. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a green Jeep Cherokee, with severe collision damage. The unrestrained occupants were ejected during the rollover and located several feet away from the vehicle. Cal-Fire and AMR arrived and began life saving measures on both subjects. The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female passenger was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries. The San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to take over the investigation. Evidence located at the collision scene suggests the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control and veering off the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned several times. Identification of both subjects are being withheld pending notifications.
